Draupnir — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

Summary

Draupnir lets you track your finances without connecting to your bank or to any server we operate. Everything you enter (transactions, accounts, categories, goals, debt records) is stored on your device and, while iCloud sync is on, in your own iCloud account so it appears on your other devices. We and no third party have access to this data. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

Data We Collect

We do not collect, transmit or use any data for advertising purposes. We operate no servers that receive your data. The information you enter into the app includes:

This information is stored in your device’s local storage.

Camera and Photos

The receipt scanning feature uses Apple’s on-device text recognition (Vision) to detect the amount automatically. The receipt photo you capture is stored together with the transaction on your device (and in your own iCloud while sync is on). It is never sent to us or to any third party.

iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings > iCloud Sync. While it is on, your data is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit (transactions and receipt photos) and iCloud key-value storage (accounts, categories, goals, debts, assets, recurring transactions, rules, category budgets, and your currency, theme and budget preferences), and is synced across your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Only you and Apple’s iCloud infrastructure (subject to Apple’s own privacy policy) can access this data — we cannot. The app lock setting, first-launch status and last backup date are never synced.

Apple Watch and Widgets

The Apple Watch app and the Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets show your budget summary and let you add expenses. Data moves between your iPhone, your Apple Watch and the widget directly on your devices (using Apple’s on-device frameworks); it is not sent to us.
